News… ASUG Colorado User Group Meeting The Americas’ SAP Users’ Group Colorado chapter meets this coming Friday, September 30, at Metro State in downtown Denver. Not only will you enjoy the typical varied coverage of general SAP topics, but there’s enhanced BusinessObjects coverage at this meeting as well. Well, the entry-level product in this suite is now available. Just released, SAP Crystal Server 2011, has been renamed (previous versions were called Crystal “Reports” Server) to more accurately represent the broad suite of Business Intelligence features it supports. This new release is, without doubt, the most significant upgrade the toolset has seen in many versions. With new features such as 64-bit architecture, an all-new user interface, support for the new Common Semantic Layer, provision for both Crystal Reports 2011 and Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.0, BusinessObjects Explorer, Lifecycle Manager, and greatly enhanced auditing and alerting, you can provide more flexible and efficient BI to your audience than ever before. And, surprisingly, all these new capabilities haven’t resulted in a price increase. You can still purchase SAP Crystal Server 2011 starting at under $2,600! If maintenance on your current Crystal Reports Server version is up-to-date, you’re eligible for the upgrade at no extra charge.
